Founder and CEO
Gamal J. Palmer is the founder of Global Eye Entrepreneurs, an organization that empowers male entrepreneurs of color to be viable and visible contributors to the Global Economy. Palmer is currently the Senior Director of Leadership Development of the Community Leadership Institute (CLI), a competitive 15-month program developing young philanthropists to sit on boards and committees of Los Angeles based non-profits and initiatives. He is also a co-founder of the New York based arts collective 'Company Cypher' which strives to transform the conversation around skin tone prejudice and race.
Palmer previously co-designed and lectured Yale University courses and programs including 'The Quest for Social Justice Through Theater and Religion’ in Tanzania, as well as ‘Theater and Public Health’ in Swaziland and South Africa. Palmer completed a Post-Graduate Associate position at the Yale Schools of Management and Drama in 2009 and a Master of Fine Arts (2008), also at Yale. His undergraduate degrees are in Liberal Arts in Theater and in Educational Leadership from the University of Miami. Palmer was a recent TEDx speaker at Occidental College, and currently sits on several local and national boards including the Wallenberg Institute of Ethics and Lambda Legal’ Leadership Council LA Chapter. Palmer was a Los Angeles Global Justice Fellow in 2014.
